Make Tech Pink at Swans Creek
Private Event for Students Attending Swans CreekElementary
Fall 2024 and Spring 2025
Our Make Tech Pink enrichment program targets girls from disadvantaged communities in grades 4 through 5 at Title 1 schools in Prince William County, Virginia. The program provides girls with access to the collaborative, coding, and technical skills that unlock opportunities beyond the classroom–no matter what their future goals may be. The program will also increase students’ knowledge in science, technology, engineering and math using hands-on, engaging activities using the robot ball called “Sphero”.
The three program goals of the Make Tech Pink program are:
1. To enhance technological literacy through hands-on computer programming assignments and challenges
2. To increase awareness of women contributing to the computer science field
3. To increase young girls’ interest in learning more about computer science/STEMThe three program goals of the Make Tech Pink program were:
Participants and their families participate in a graduation ceremony at the end of the program.
Interested participants will need to register through the school

This event is ONLY open to Featherstone Elementary School students. This workshop is FREE. The system will ask you to enter your name and address BUT IT WILL NOT ASK FOR A CREDIT CARD INFORMATION
